Our focus remains on a diversified, patient-centered approach that supports each individual's unique needs.
Our mission is simple: to promote long-term wellness and longevity through natural, non-surgical, and drug- free care. We believe in empowering our patients to live healthier, more active lives by supporting the body's natural ability to heal.
At Nelson Chiropractic, you're not just a patient--you're part of our family.
We practice diversified chiropractic care, which is a patient-centered, evidence-informed approach that combines traditional chiropractic adjustments with a variety of specialized techniques to restore joint motion, improve biomechanics, reduce pain, and enhance overall function. Treatment is individualized based on a comprehensive evaluation that may include spinal and postural analysis, motion palpation, orthopedic and neurological testing, and radiographic assessment when clinically indicated. Care may incorporate manual adjustments, instrument-assisted adjustments using the Activator Method, drop-table techniques, Cox Flexion-Distraction therapy, spinal traction, and other conservative treatment methods to address areas of restricted movement, altered biomechanics, and functional imbalance through the spine and extremities. The goal is to restore proper motion and function to the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, reduce mechanical stress, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural ability to heal, with treatment tailored to each patient’s condition, comfort level, age, and health goals.

Yes! We treat patients as young as one day old and continue care as long as you need!
Yes! We provide care to women all through pregnancy and in post-partum recovery.
Ideally, wear something that allows access to the area being examined. However, we do have gowns and shorts available if your cloths are too restrictive for your care.
Dr. Devon provides both dry needling as well as acupuncture, and she will determine which is most appropriate based on your condition.
Most insurances do not cover acupuncture, but some do! To determine whether your insurance does or does not cover, call your insurance customer service and ask if acupuncture provided by a Doctor of Chiropractic is covered, or check your coverage details received at enrollment.
We accept Medicare, South Dakota Medicaid, and most private insurances, with the exception of Health-Share plans or out-of-state insurances. To determine your chiropractic coverage, you can call your insurance customer service line or check your coverage details received at enrollment. Keep in mind that "covered" does not necessarily mean fully paid- "covered" means that it is an accepted service within your insurance, but does not guarantee payment.
We have a full self-pay fee schedule that is cost per service. Payment is due at the time of service.
We are certified to accept CareCredit payments and help patients apply for CareCredit.
Our blood testing is processed through Lab Corp in Rapid City. We can provide most blood testing that they offer. We also provide test kits through Doctor's Data. Doctor's Data helps to access heavy metal burden, nutritional deficiencies, gastrointestinal function, cardiovascular risk, and more, through saliva, fecal, or urine samples. Through the company Cell Science, we offer a food sensitivity test called the ALCAT, done by a blood draw.
None of our bloodwork or testing is run through insurance. The cost is per test and payment is due upon service. Give us a call for an estimate!
Blood draws are available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. They are most typically done at 8:30am.
Appointments can be scheduled on our website, by calling the office, or by texting the office at the main office number.
For your first appointment, please bring your incurance cards, a medication list, and a surgery list, if applicable. If the patient is a minor, they will need a parent's signature to consent to care.
The physical card or a picture of your insurance card will be required at the visit to use your insurance. If you do not have a card, you can bring your Member ID number and company name until you receive a physical or digital card.
We do not require x-rays to be taken to establish care, however, if the doctor feels they need images to administer care, we will take the x-rays in-house.
You do not have a penalty for cancelling your appointment at any time, however, please be courteous to the office and give as much warning as possible when you need to reschedule an appointment.
